A first look at Thank You 2.0
A new experience for saying “Thank You” is on the way
Recognition should feel personal. And saying “Thank You” should be simple.
That is why we are working on Thank You 2.0, a major redesign of the Thank You experience.
Our goal goes beyond giving the application a new look. We want to make sending and receiving recognition more intuitive, personal and enjoyable, while reducing unnecessary complexity along the way.
Here is a first look at what is coming.

Here is a first look at what is coming.
Thank You 2.0 introduces a completely redesigned creation experience.
A new guided flow takes users through the relevant choices, from selecting recipients and creating the content to personalizing the card and deciding when it should be sent. Before sending anything, users can review the complete card in a dedicated preview.

Cards also receive a clearer structure with a dedicated title, personal message, Card Type and an optional image. Public and private cards continue to be supported.
Making recognition more personal
One of the biggest changes is the card experience itself.
Thank You 2.0 introduces optional Card Backs. When enabled, users can select from designs provided for their organization. The finished digital card can then be flipped between its front and reverse side.

New Background Colors and optional Opening Effects add another layer of personalization.
When recipients open a new card for the first time, the selected effect can automatically become part of the opening experience. Effects can also be tested before the card is sent. The final selection and visual implementation of the effects will be refined during development.

The intention is simple: receiving a Thank You should feel less like opening another piece of content and more like receiving an actual digital card.
Your Thank Yous, easier to find
Thank You 2.0 also introduces dedicated views for Public Cards, Received Cards and Sent Cards.
Received Cards brings together the Thank Yous addressed to the current user, while Sent Cards provides an overview of cards the user has created. The familiar comments and reactions remain available within the redesigned experience.
Cards can also be sent immediately or scheduled for a future date and time, making it possible to prepare recognition in advance.
What does this mean for existing customers?
The redesign is intended to provide a smooth transition for organizations already using Thank You.
Existing cards will remain accessible after the migration, and existing public/private visibility, comments, replies and reactions will be retained.
There are, however, a few changes customers should be aware of:
- Thank You Attributes will no longer be supported and existing attributes will not be migrated.
- The existing Image Gallery will be removed. New cards will support one uploaded image.
- If an existing card contains multiple images, the first image will be retained while the remaining images will not be migrated.
- Existing card colors will be retained but used as Background Colors behind the new white card design.
- Existing cards will not automatically receive a new Card Back or Opening Effect.
Most existing configuration, including roles and permissions, Card Types, public/private card availability, comments and reactions, notifications and deletion permissions, remains unchanged unless explicitly affected by the redesign.
And this is only the first look
With Thank You 2.0, we want to make recognition easier to give and more enjoyable to receive.
The redesigned creation flow reduces complexity. The new card experience adds more personality. And the redesigned views make it easier to keep track of the appreciation that matters to you.
Some visual and interaction details are still being refined as part of the implementation.
We look forward to sharing more about Thank You 2.0 as we get closer to the release.
