Ideation Plugin 4.5 – Greater Engagement, Better Collaboration and Easier Sharing
New
Version 4.5 significantly expands collaboration capabilities within the Ideation Plugin. Users can now follow ideas and receive notifications about relevant updates such as new comments or status changes. In addition, editors and administrators can now create and manage comments directly from the back office, making collaboration possible even without access to the frontend.
The release also introduces a redesigned sharing experience. A new unified share button simplifies the distribution of ideas and automatically adapts to the platform and device being used.
Improved
The follow feature has been streamlined and can now be configured centrally. Idea authors and users who contribute comments automatically follow the related idea, ensuring they stay informed without additional manual actions.
The sharing workflow has also been improved by consolidating multiple sharing options into a single, consistent user experience. This makes it easier to distribute ideas, increase visibility, and encourage participation in discussions.
Fixed
A permission issue affecting comments in the back office has been resolved. Editors can now reliably comment on ideas and perform status changes even when frontend visibility restrictions are in place, improving stability and usability for administrative workflows.
